I am delighted that the Ministry of Social Development Oman have recognized and appreciated the Sri Lankan Community Social Club – Oman and its commitment to the Sri Lankans residing in Oman awarding a special recognition. Even though the certificate is issued to me, the credit goes to the amazing teams that I have worked with for the last 6 years of service out of which 2 years as the Secretary and 4 years as the president of the Sri Lankan Community Social Club – Oman . We never expect anything in return other than the self-satisfaction of the voluntary service we render to the Community. If we have helped one needy person and if we have saved a life and if we have kept the community together and if we have entertained them that’s all it matters. Special thanks to past president late Mr. Sarath Lalsiri for providing the opportunity and those veterans in the Sri Lankan Community in Oman specially Anselm Perera Lalith Kumara Namiq Azhar Mohideen Mohammed Shamsudeen AL Mackie Sanath Hemachandra Vinod Wickramarathna & special appreciation to my mentors Mr. Upali Marasinghe & Mr. Deeptha Kumarasinghe.
